The race for 3RD?

if Man City had Gareth Barry today they'd have won today, and more importantly for us, Liverpool wouldn't be winning the league.....
Garcia & ferdandinho were clueless.....

its all very ironic.....the media love Liverpool, and seem to have little time for us....everytime they speak of us, its about linking our players with other clubs, but also how we're only in the top 4 because of our loan players.......
well....Chelsea won't win the league this season because they have struggled for goals from their strikers.....well had Lukaku not been loaned to us, sure we wouldn't be top4, but Chelsea would have won the league NOT Liverpool.....

had Barry not been loaned to us, he might have played today instead of Garcia.....and city probably would have won (despite clattenbergs best efforts)....

so as great as the loans have been to us, they've benefited Liverpool even more.....

If Milner had of started today City would have won comfortably. He was great when he came on.

I know he's got his critics but I'd have him at us

f all this noise. focus on us and nothing else. win our matches. just get our 3 and move on to the next.

to quote Rollins, "Get Some Go Again."

With an average of 2 pts per game, most seasons we would be in the hunt for top 3. But the top 3 have all been on ruthless form for the last 4 months and I can't see them opening the door to us now.

We are where we deserve to be this season IMO. The top 3 have all been better than us and have just that bit more quality throughout their teams. No chance of us catching them.

We have however been better than Arsenal this season so the league is currently a pretty accurate reflection of team performance. It better stay that way !!

A pair of absolutely boss brown shoes just walked up and told me that we need to just focus on each game one at a time. I'm quoting here...

"Our skills, hard work, and creativity, with the support of Evertonians worldwide, will show us how to get the maximum number of points from each match, and we'll see what happens as we go match by match. Too much time and effort focusing on fantasizing about one particular place or another in the table can lead to a lack of focus on the real important work at hand. The only table that truly counts is the one we see at season's end."

That couldn't have been Bobby he's not used the words phenomenal, arrogance, desire, wonderful, DNA or phenomenal again. Must have been an imposter??

i reckon we will run chelsea close if we keep up our own good work. Probably too much of a jump but if we finish 5th then there wont be much gap between guaranteed champs league and europa

the difference between us and liverpool this season has been 3 games.

Liverpool, Tottenham Chelsea.

If we had won those games, we would be 9 points better off and 3 less on liverpool and chelsea, which would put us......top of the league.

So the only bad run we go on and thats the effect it had on our league positioning. sickening really.

Every team has a bad run at some point. It's no surprise we dropped down when we had a run against the better teams in the league.

It isn't sickening, just a fair reflection of where we are at as a team. You shouldn't be disappointed by this position, quite the opposite in fact.

Let's beat Palace and get to 69 points and see from there, yes we can get 3rd even 2nd but for now beating palace is all that matters.

I think we have a better chance of chasing Chelsea personally. Long shot obviously but with Chelsea still in the Champions league, they may drop "easier" points, lets remember, we beat palace and we're only 6 points of with 4 to play
