I don't think Coleman would be the kind of player to let it affect his performances long-term but it's definitely a roll of the dice. I'd prefer to hold on to McCarthy and sell Coleman. Tell that to Liverpool last season. If it makes sense for us I agree we should sell because if a player is 100% committed and we have options plus can get a good price there's no reason not to however if the price isn't right or we can't get a replacement then he needs to stay. We can re-evaluate it at the end of the season. How often do the players throw their toys out of the pram and refuse to play. They would have to be real scumbags to do that.

There's been talk of Montoya or even Bernard at Barca so there might be truth in the Coleman rumour however if we sell totally depends on if we can get cover and if the price is right.

I completely agree. We hold all the cards and I don't think we'd get anything less than top dollar for him, but we'd obviously have to have a plan. We won't be selling him in January anyway, so I'm not unduly concerned at the moment.
