Awesome, lid.
Getting bounced out of the FA Cup in such a dismal fashion sucks.

Seeing the Champions League dreams slip away sucks.

But we're in year one of a new era that has seen the aura of the club we know and love glow warmer and brighter. Despite a new manager and new tactics, we're still doing as well as or better than we did last year and still have a great shot at Europa League qualification. Which, starting next year, is another avenue to Champions League glory.

Perspective, lads. If this is our rebuilding year, our best days are ahead of us. You will have my permission to fume all you want on September 1st, 2014 at 12:01 AM if the summer window goes poorly.

Until then, perspective.

UP THE MO' FUGGIN TOFFEES.

Cittee lost a quarter final against Wigan at home
Liberpewl are also potless after losing away at Arsenal

Perspective needed indeed.

We have an excellent new manager, but the same leeches in charge of the club starving him of spending funds.

My perspective is:

Kenwright Out

The only sensible way of seeing things is to conclude that we have a new manager in place playing very good football for the most part and who is ahead of schedule on the progress we'd have liked him to have made in season one...and he's done that whilst Billy Liar has whizzed £17M from him.

Imagine what he'll do with a net spend.

Love your enthusiam, but it's same old, same old for me. Evertonian ground hog day, till we some how magic money to compete

If we are still doing as crap as we did last season, then how has the aura of our club glowed warmer?

This demented adulation of Martinez is seriously premature, and it reminds me of the blind love that the cult had for Kenny Dalgliesh.

We beat the crappest Man United side in living memory, everything else has practically been a carbon copy of last season.

We were saying that during Moyes' tenure as well. 'Imagine if we had money'.

Nothing changes.

All very true davek, but he has also ballooned £6m (lol) on Kone and apparently it's £80k a week for Traore. We aren't doing any better in the league than last year and the cups have hardly runneth over.

Been a very mixed bag this season.

By that I mean the off-the-field Everton are much more fun and enjoyable than they were in years past.

Perhaps that doesn't matter to you, but I've gotten some smiles out of the "Bring Me Sunshine" music video and thought the Umbro reveal was a great tribute to the fans.

Got a new badge to look forward to next season.

About as interested in Eberton after this weekend as I am atm.

Yeah, but you have to take his dealings in this first season as a whole. He's basically upgraded our CM from piss poor to top quality and our attacking options from Championship level to top 6 PL standard with the Lukaku loan.

He's been treated like dirt by Kenwright in the last two windows. Even Moyes would have baulked at the medicine handed down. The feller has done marvellous so far. Let's hope he finishes a fine job off by grabbing 5th.
