For perfect timing, Jesse Owens.
For perfection at the noble art, the then Cassius Clay.
For perfection over 20 years for gold at 5 different Olympics, Sir Steve.
For greatest gold medal total, Phelps.

Lookout its the rythmic gymnastics.

I just seriously saw one chick put her leg-pit behind the back of her head!

These Prawns are el-flextastic!

I think Carl Lewis has a better shout than him (just an example). His golds are spread out across more types of events than Phelps. Swimming certainly stacks the deck. Like I said, still a magnificent achievement, just not as dynamic as some.

Maybe. But I always think of long jumping as just sprinting with a leap at the end of it. Many sprinters double up on the two. It's not like he was 100M champion and then took a gymnastics gold!

There was a runner on the track that dove across the line to get a bronze a few years ago. There is obviously video somewhere. Proper superman dive.

Another gob smacking set of scoring decisions by the judges in the Paddy Barnes bout. I never had him 3 points up in the final round.
I realise the boxers have to be amateurs to compete at the Olympics, but do the referees and judges have to be amateurs as well?
