Sailing is one of those things that's good fun to do but boring as hell to watch. For the record I was bloody awful. Spent more time in the water than in the boat.

There's a Sailing Club 10 minutes walk from me, kids can go there to try it for free as far as I know, a family membership costs around £120 a year and it seems that once they have done basic exams then they can take the clubs boats out whenever.
