i dont agree mate, they seemed to buy into the whole thing, im not ready to demonise an entire sport
ffs davek your proletarian vanguard just lost on penalties
more rich people please
There's a massive difference: those lads would have to be acknowledeged as overcoming tremendous odds to achieve, not so the other way around.
It's entirely your choice who you want to give support to. You see a british vest and think that's ok whoever's in it. Me, I'm not remotely patriotic and so I go with characters I can at least identify with...funnily enough that doesn't happen to be the shooting and rowing Oxbridge elite who wouldn' piss on you or me if we were on fire.
I'd happily piss on you Dave, though I'm not a rower.
All the jacks I know are really sound
Totally respect your opinion mate but I don't know anything about the long jumper or what his life has involved , I'd imagine it's been easier than some but we shouldnt always assume. I heard an interview with a rower before (I think from the men's 8?) saying how two in his boat including himself were from council estates. I think certainly with the rowers watching the effort they put in , all nationalities , where rowers couldn't get out of boats and a pole I think had to be wheeled to the rostrum . Discrimination is forming an opinion of people based on stereotypes and that applies to whatever race or class they are
I'm bummed about it. Hope that's understandable.
Completely, mate.
Should still be a good game, though. I've watched both korea and brazil live this tournament and I'd say it should be pretty open.
