I think it should be up to them to be honest. They're the ones fighting at the end of the day, if they want to represent Ireland, let them do so. If they want to represent GB/NI, that's their choice too.

but you could end up with one northern irish wining gold for GB and another winning gold for ireland. ireland's basically Republic and NI, so NI compete as two different countries

Incredible stuff. His movement was great and his hands were so fast it was hard to keep up.

Fair play to the other lad, and that's why the boxers have been my favourite athletes. They beat the crap out of each other and even after losing are humble and sporting.

I understand but it's a very personal thing how one identifies, nationality-wise. I don't think you should force the hand of any of them.

If they feel strongly that they want to represent one country over the other, then that's their right in my opinion.
