World number one, came 4th in Beijing at 18 years of age. But not picked, because he trained with his own team.

In the taekwondo, isn't the guy GB picked ranked something like number 56? It's supposedly to do with his style but it seems ridiculous any way you look at it that the person ranked number 1 in the world isn't in the competition.

yes, he walked out of team gb. Lost all his Lotto money and got his own sponsorship and training team.

Become number one in the world and won the majority of the competitions he entered. Even the BOC and taekwondo world think its wrong, but done nothing.
