The last ever Dandy printed today..
I remember getting the comics delivered, Roy of then Rovers Etc..

There used to be comics with NO pictures in them, you actually had to read...
Rover, Wizard, Adventure, Hotspur and Victor.
The first one to ' dumbdown' and go pictures was The Victor around 1961
A couple of years later the Rover and Adventure merged
By about 1970 they had all ceased trading.

I liked to munch on a handful of mojo's or a texan bar while watching Space 1999 on a Sunday afternoon..yes, I was fat.

I used to love Texan Bars. They brought them back out special edition for a short while a few years ago.They were 50p and were tiny.

Ahh...Good old cassette tapes. Daughter took great pleasure in unravelling them. Couldn't always save them with the pencil/pen method

BML.. I once worked for City FM, a radio station in Liverpool ( Castle St. ) and if you went out and interviewed someone, you did it on tapes, then had to got back to the studios, open up the tapes and cut the tape up to edit it.. literally with a knife..
I bet that dosent happen anymore !
