Had the absolute pleasure of having a pint in my local yesterday with a group of mates including Alex, a mates arl fella who is 95 years young, he is absolutely beyond amazing, he plays golf twice a week, still drives,goes on regular holidays with his pals, but the one thing I laughed at was when he was telling me about getting demobbed in 1944.
He talks with such clarity and we were having discussions on footy and politics and not once did he have anything approaching a senior moment, he doesn't like swearing though, something we respected with great difficulty.
A remarkable guy and I'm still smiling as I'm typing.

Another favourite was The Valiant with Captain Hurricane and his batman Maggot Malone. The bold Captain could probably have won the war on his own as he could decimate dozens of enemy troops when in one of his "raging furies".
