Current Affairs The next Tory (strong and stable) leader is Boris Johnson

That's the trouble. In an era of personality he lacks charisma.
Maybe he should start quoting Virgil and get the barber to mess his hair up a bit.
BJ is your PM I fully understand but you seem to have a dreadful range of choices. Not much better in Ireland although having worked closely with our Taoiseach (PM) Micheal Martin (FF) when he was Min Health, and with Simon Coveney (FG) when he was Min Ag, I would rate both of them as very competent.

Coveney is the first foreign minister to go straight into Kyiv since the war started - astonishing chivalry and ground breaking from him.

Just googled Coveney - really harrowing what he has seen. I salute him

Yeah, that integrity, decency and empathy for others malarkey, is so last century.

Conversely, Boris Johnson, will be remembered for gross incompetence, corruption, criminal behaviour and utter contempt for truth.

Tough choice that !
Mate, I was just saying if I was asked in a quiz who was the Labour leader in the UK I wouldn.t have a clue before Googling this evening.. I can't abide Johnson but Starmer needs to project more. Maybe I am not as cued in as I was before I retired. Kinnock, Foot, Callaghan were in your face

I don’t disagree, that Starmer needs to project a better defined image of who he is and what he stands for. If he wants to win the next election.

Probably not my ideal choice for leader, to rip the Tories and galvanise all the potential support, but he’s deffo not Johnson, which is a start.

I would hope people look behind the thin veneer of 'personality.' Just because you bluster, have a rictus grin, spout cod Latin phraseology, use tired well-worn racist cliches, imagine the consequences of breaking the law does not apply to you, be so self-centred as to think you're the nexus of all things and to say or do anything to appeal to the lowest common denominator - in my view, these traits a 'personality' do not make.

Believe me, public perception is massive in politics. Starmer needs to get out and in your faces constantly or the electorate will not support . I can't remember not being able to name a Labour leader in the UK

Perhaps De Piffle will show some balls this time and appear on the tv election debates, and also be prepared to be interviewed forensically one to one with someone like Andrew Neill about his record in Government - I very much doubt it because at heart he reminds me of Flashman - a bully and a coward.
Instead we'll have either vacuous announcements, pledges or pie in the sky promises infesting the airwaves. Labour have always found it difficult to push against the right wing leaning media and to get their message across, but there's still quite a bit of time. Who knows what the next De Piffle/Conservative scandal will be, it's one a week at the moment.

Everytime I bring up a debatable point, you fail to respond to it, mainly because you have no answer. The abuse is what you deserve for your horrid idealisms at the end of the day.

No mate, the reason I ignore most of your posts is because they are bitter in content and you continually display the actions of an angry person. When you can display the ability to have a reasonable debate I will be more than happy to do so……

Far from a Paddy to correct you but he is de Pfeffel - still a PITA
