1. Stick to your horrible views no matter what
2. Defend, deny and deflect until you no longer can
3. Belittle and ridicule when proven wrong (why you crying about it? Have I upset you? etc.)

That’s basically how most discussions go these days.
That's pretty much how it goes on TV, which seems to be where most people learn this from. There are ample people on both sides of the "debate" who are like this. It's worth remembering that Jon Stewart lit up both Paul Begala and Tucker Carlson for it on Crossfire.

The biggest shock is that people are surprised that it has gone this way, after voting the Tories in. Even the most staunch Tory (barring the ones who have their heads buried in the sand), would admit that they made the wrong choice on ballot day. However, they are too scared to do so in fear of being wrong. People would rather die on a hill, than just admit that we’d be in a better place under a different government.

Should belong in other thread cost of living etc. This clip shows very clearly how stupid they think their Tory vote is, it's laughable at this point as people must be thick if they believe below...

It's a loan of sorts, recouped by a particular mechanism. Presumably by a higher bill further down the line. I've not paid too much attention to the mechanics of how it'll work, but if energy bills don't come down it sounds like we could all end up paying out more long term.

What a goon.

Obviously countries can have elections and change their leaders during events like Ukraine. The problem is that the current leader then spends most of their energy and thoughts on the election and Ukraine is at a tricky point at the moment. Macron is currently on tour and fighting a political battle with Le Pen for his job, he probably doesn’t even have time for his nice little chats with Putin…..
Mmm - is there any sort of political battle that might be distracting Johnson? Or will he just pull out his cheque book and his excuses book for each further charge about breaking the Covid-19 restrictions he oversaw? Maybe a Prime Minister who had not wallowed in excrement would be less distracted?

It's clear for all to see that this clown of a man will use everything and everyone around him to hide his own corruption and incompetence, even if it's a war thousands of miles away. He couldn't give a sh;t about a single person in Ukraine or elsewhere that have lost their lives or face brutalities of war. But this is all irrelevant, as Tory govt have shown already that are more than willing to bend / break rules and law so as to remain in 'power' for decades to come, which makes this discussion pretty irrelevant other than to vent some steam.
Yeah but enough about Pete

yes I did, had his faults but still 100 times better than Johnson, a pitifully human being. But again you drift into the past, it's the present that is the problem for everyone.

A pure blatent, complete, compulsive liar, I would be absolutely ashamed to say I voted or was going to vote for him after all, the end of the day, what does that make you ?

I’m afraid that credibility just flew out of the window….
