What has that got to do with the price of fish?

I’ve no idea who he is but am glad that the former Justice Minister does seem to have heard about the rule of law and think it important, pity the current Prime Minister does not.

It plays into the various arguments about who should lead a Political party. Everyone has their own view and bias, Boris was the single front man for Brexit and many MP’s were totally against him but have now disappeared. My guess , and it is only a guess because I can’t even remember the guys name, is that he is one of the Remainer rearguard…..

Does that even matter, and does he deserve to be called a non entity because of that ? Anyone who goes against the Tories is the enemy for you and that folks is the bottom line.

Not so, I was and remain a massive supporter of Harold Wilson, but also of Margaret Thatcher. Both of whom were head and shoulders above todays nonentity politicians. I will always vote for who I believe will do the best job for the U.K. ….

It's the same when Dominic Cummings went for his vision test at a faraway castle, it doesn't matter how many people in the general population broke the law, that's not the point.

Those in power are supposed to hold themselves to a higher standard as an example.

Sadam was an evil man, but YES Blair was wrong to follow America on that occasion, at the time Bush said that it was to find WMD, at that time no one including you or me or Blair for that matter could have known the Americans were wrong. Inherent animosity, take a good long look at yourself and what you will defend to the very end Smithers. You can see every fault Labour does and will admit NONE what your hero does. I've admitted Blair was badly wrong at that time, but who has hindsight.

He was only appointed Justice Minister in Dec 2020 (when Johnson was already PM) so seems very unlikely to me he was a Remainer sleeper agent just waiting for his time to bring Boris down.

Crazy as it may seem perhaps he sincerely believes in the rule of law and that it should apply to all in the land and that people should be accountable for their actions and lies.
