Please, just get a life, some of you guys. The rules were made to achieve a certain outcome, which was not to act like complete puddings and spread infection by closely cosying up. The numbers and distances were conservative, so that people didn't get together, have a few jars, and then start hugging and whatnot. None of that went on with the government, as far as I know. I'd happily have got together with mates on the quiet as long as I was sure they weren't stupid enough to be hugging and standing in large, close, groups. Equally as a manager of a small team before I retired, if I thought I could bend the rules to give them a good social evening, with minimal risk of infection, then I'd certainly have done so. If I'd have done it, I certainly can't condemn anyone else for the same thing . Nobody died from this, yanno.
Bellend.

People couldnt attend funerals due to the rules imposed that the people who imposed them didnt follow.

Not really a nonevent though is it. Thousands of people, unfortunately including myself, had to suffer with losing loved ones with nobody around them. Yet here you are justifying the tit doing as he pleased while people made the ultimate sacrifices. Scum.

We all suffered family loved ones and friends.…even Conservatives did…..

indeed….

Unfortunately, he didn’t actually lie to Parliament. If he did he should resign….
I’d call the statement below a blatant lie myself along with “guidelines were followed at all times”. But I’m sure if you close your eyes and put your fingers in your ears and go “nah, nah nah” you can pretend he didn’t lie. Personally I’d have thought a man like yourself who talks about proud British history would hold the prime minister to higher standards.

Johnson told MPs last week that he joined the May 20, 2020 gathering of about 40 people — which involved food and alcohol — for about 25 minutes and that he had thought it was a “work event”. On Tuesday he reiterated that he had not been warned that the event was against the coronavirus rules. “Nobody said to me this is an event that is against the rules, that is in breach of what we’re asking everybody else to do, it should not go ahead,” he told the broadcaster.

Ah so that makes what he did sound then doesn’t it. People dying alone while he’s on the piss with his cronies. Listen to what you are saying, it’s disgusting.

He had a glass of wine. Some on here need to stop moralising and remember whether or not they had a can of beer with a mate.…..

If I wasn't allowed to do it, why were they?
