Indeed, he will get away with it. And tbh, other than Labour supporters and Boris haters, no one cares about eating cake or having a drink at the end of a long day. Have a go at the Civil Servants who did all this by all means, but remember No10 was a closed bubble of hardworking people who did not wfh, and sometimes they needed to relax. I can quote you numerous examples of similar events, even Starmer, and within my own locality. People worked hard for our benefit, and then they had a drink and this happened tens of thousands of times across the whole country. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone…oh no that was Starmer and he wasn’t without sin……
Usual film flam @peteblue. The question is did the Prime Minister mislead Parliament. People do care about that. They care whether the Prime Minister sticks to the rules (as HM The Queen did at her husbands funeral) or flouts them repeatedly and then try’s to bluff his way out of it.;
Three was a gathering but I wasn’t there becomes;
There was a gathering but all the rules were observed
(photo evidence emerges)
becomes
I was there and although all the rules were not observed it wasn’t a party
becomes
I thought it was a work event.
This on top of;
Owen Patterson and the deliberate subversion of Ministerial scrutiny
Peddling influence to get his flat refurbishment paid for by others.

But everyone worked jolly hard, but cake, but Starmer but everyone’s at it.

But everyone is not the Prime Minister eh Pete?

The Queen could throw a bloody huge rock at him as could lots of others who followed the rules despite far more trying circumstances than Johnson faced.

Just watched newsnight, that Emma Barnett presenting it giving it to that Tory Paul Scully good style, he was all over the gaff trying to defend Boris, it was a joy to watch, especially when he came out with Boris nearly died of covid, he's just had a child etc, it's like the loons have well and truly taken over the asylum.
