To be fair, I think Palin was like the Lib Dems in the coalition, as without him being there John Cleese would have run amok and Monty Python would have been a slightly more sophisticated version of Roy Chubby Brown.

There are few things better than an older gentlemen with a fine head of hair, reason enough alone to value Palin. Though comparing Palin's hair to clegg et al during the coalition does Palin's folical talents a huge disservice IMHO
