Once Dominic Cummings left her position became almost redundant as she had no source feeding her information. She was basically a useful idiot for the Johnson government for a long time, blindly repeating what Cummings/Johnson wanted her to know and she seemed happy to bask in the attention her "exclusives " gave her. In the last election campaign she basically was working as an unofficial commentator for the government, with several occasions where she was caught out misreporting things.
