Current Affairs The next Tory (strong and stable) leader is Boris Johnson

Surely it Boris is looking after, in a fashion, the more affluent home owners with a three month hiatus, then he must also look after the renters, usually the younger, poorer section of our society ? Well not just yet apparently.

He looked spaced out on tv this eve. No way is he up to the task at hand. I'm sure he rolled his eyes upon finishing the questions too.

The little smirk has vanished from his kisser. Looks bewildered, in right over his head, now we know why he ducked most of the tv debates. Desperately looking for something catchy like, " let's get Brexit done " but failing atm.

I'm no fan.

But none of the leaders are coming across with any composure atm. This is totally unprecedented.

For once, Johnson seems to be at least giving over to the people who know what they're doing on this – the medical professionals.

I'm finding it hard to criticise the government at this very minute for a global pandemic and one of unprecedented proportions in what, 100 years?

Fwiw I thought the chancellor came across well.

So on reflection hes offered loans to businesses on attractive terms. So somewhat typically the tories are after charging some level of interest on these loans and still seeking to profit from this mess. Nothing will ever change them.

Jesus wept.

They have bungled it from day one and they hide behind the BS mantra of "we're being led by scientific advice" - as if there was any possible justification of going with the "modelling' of the assembled bunch of nodding dogs at 'SAGE' over and above the World Health Organisation, which has been led by the data and analysis of clinicians on the ground of the most affected countries from day one of the outbreak.

They've failed us all. They're still failing us now.

I don't know of one government which is doing anything other than 'bungling' though.

That's my point. It's totally unprecedented.

Doesn't mean I want this mob in power but it's not really the time for politics.

Hopefully Labour keep pushing them too but really this is now the time for all of the parties to work together. See where we are at the end of it.

I reject that. The national interest is not best served by allowing a situation to prevail where a bunch of crazy ideologues need to be constantly dragged kicking and screaming to take best practice on this virus.

Labour and the rest need to be pushing for a coalition, which is the only way to release this government from the hands off approach its adopted and still adopts. Absolute bazookas need to be thrown at this in terms of finances and social resources, and involve the nationalisation of all major sectors to stop the economic tsunami coming in the wake of the virus; and we need to see the bringing in of the trade union movement to decision making, as they represent many of the workers affected by this.

This 'kin lot cant be left alone with their hands on the controls here. They've already cost us many lives through their utter balls up "modelling" of this so far. Who in their right 'kin minds would want other parties and organisations to simply 'keep pushing' these catastrophic fools to make better decisions? They are incapable.
