He is on record as saying that British workers are "idlers"
To be fair, he was proably thinking of the Cabinet when he said that.

Pete. This is a wind-up. We have had much debate and one thing you are certainly not is thick. The man has no substance other than obesity, no grasp of detail and would sell every job in the UK for a spell of power. He needs a much deserved fatal heart attack.

McVey has the advantage of magic on her side
I don't think McVey will believe she has any real chance in the selection process. For her and a few of the others it's about getting a decent job in the new cabinet, whoever leads it.Imagine putting your name forward with that motley crew and still your chances being rated at 66/1.....
Esther, no one likes you.
Pete. He is not a leader. To lead you need a clue where you are heading. Yes, he has the ability to persuade people who struggle to think beyond a soundbite to follow him, I agree. But he is a leader. People will follow him. The country will follow him. Philip Hammond has all the grasp of detail you could ever want, but people wouldn’t even follow him to the bar for a free drink......
You'd have to be insane to want to take over the Conservative party right now. So I'm expecting a pretty big field.
If he was comparing them to eastern europeans then he would be correct. To be fair, he was proably thinking of the Cabinet when he said that.

Like they did with Trump, that worked out well. There will be literally hundreds of stories to explode around Johnson. His personal life is an absolute mess and the leaking of all that will be enough to deny him a huge swathe of Tory activists. Leaving that aside though, just point a microphone in his direction and it'll be a dropped bollock on every occasion.
I hope and pray he becomes Tory leader. I just dont think the Tories will allow that eventuality.
