I do love a bit of Steve Nash, but purely because of championships you'd have to put someone like Jerry West or Isaiah Thomas before him surely?
True. Good call. Isaiah definitely jumps in there ahead of Nash. Probably a few others that deserve that as well.

Jerry is another like Oscar that I can't really include honestly. It's harder to compare players like that without actually having seen them I feel.

Yeah that's the thing with West, he was called a great shooter, but I don't think they had a 3pt line for the majority of the time he played

Wasn't West a #2? Isaiah was a great #1, but I don't like him (partly for how bad an administrator he's been).

Bit of a hot head too, but unquestionably a great player.

Hmm, with West's assist figures I always thought he was a 1, but as with most Guards I guess they're interchangeable with SG.

Never watched him or Oscar (not that old, can't even post in Pete's thread like) but I respect the opinions of knowledgeable geezers (like Bob Ryan, etc) who have watched him. Different game then, for sure, and lots of inventive positions to correct for teams with significant glut/dearth of talent that couldn't be fixed by free agency. I think Oscar would be a beast in the modern game. West would no doubt be good/very interesting player, but probably would end up a shooting 2 I suppose. Would love to see Maravich in the modern game; I'd put him up against Melo ;)

Pistol Pete is another one I've only been able to watch through youtube, but his basketball fundamentals videos were some of the first I watched online to learn more about the game. I miss incredible passers like Jason Williams, Kidd and Nash in their primes. I hope another batch like that come along soon!

Speaking of Isaiah did anyone watch the 30 for 30 Bad Boys documentary that was on the other week? Good watch if you haven't already seen it.

Sterling banned for life, fined 2.5 Million.

Forced sale of the Clippers to begin as soon as. Well played Adam Silver.

How will they determine the valuation of the Clips? In contrast to most of their history, they actually have a good team now. Here's hoping MJ is able to swap the Bobcats for the Clips and then in a couple years time Kobe buys the Lakers. That would spice up the rivalry
