Bulls are as good as gone, valiant effort to get to the playoffs with the injuries and the trade of deng. Dunleavy and Gibson have been outstanding all season.

yeah will be interesting to see if Taj gets the 6th man of the year or not, he's been fantastic. Shoot out between him, Jamal and VC I reckon

Gutted for Clippers fans, honestly. After years of pain and misery, in what should be a very exciting playoffs for them, it's all tarnished by the fact that the owner has revealed himself to be a bigoted abomination of a man.

Even worse, the reports are that there isn't a clause in the NBA franchise agreement to force owners to sell. There's only such a clause for teams in financial trouble, apparently. They're literally stuck with them and now fans and players have to team up and boycott the team if they want him out.

Basically, destroy the franchise to save it. Ugly.

These playoffs have been ace so far. Currently watching the Houston/Portland game. Yet another great finish.

Oh...and that Steph Curry is so fun to watch when he's on. On doesn't describe how ON he was today.

Oh...and that whole Sterling business...wow, just wow. I'm working in LA for a few weeks...massive support for the players here...virtually none for that dirtbag, racist cnut.

Although, one caller on the radio did say 'it's not illegal to be racist, and forcing sanctions on Sterling would open Pandora's box'...was probably wearing a white hood when he called in.

It's one thing if the government takes action against him, because yeah it isn't illegal to say racist things.

But one private organization can treat another private individual how they see fit. "Bigot" is not a protected class in the Civil Rights Act.

Why does the guy even own a basketball franchise if he's got something against black people?

Utter scunthorpe.

The League can prosecute violations of league rules and behavior fits league rules/bounds (both for players and owner). They can definitely get this wrong, but they have a lot of latitude for getting it right. As far as prosecuting for illegal behavior, I'm not sure any league can actually do that. I believe that would be up to the State and Federal court systems to do that.

I've heard Magic Johnson is interested in buying the Clippers. Slightly surprised when I heard that considering his legend status at the Lakers, but would be good to see him 'back in the game' so to speak
