Interesting night last night... big numbers for Beal, PG and DeRozan.
I did think the Bulls would struggle, they really need D-Rose back soon if they want to make some progress, cause Noah and Gibson can't be doing all this on their own.

I'm especially looking forward to see how the Rockets respond tonight. I might stay up and watch that one, if I'm still awake after watching the Mavs inevitably lose another lead to the Spurs.. :/

The Wizards are the one "local" team that I really like in this area (Ravens are OK as well). The Wizards are just a bad matchup for the Bulls. Its nice having a healthy Nene, who might just be their MVP. Their problem is that Whitman is a lousy coach and I just hope if we have a long playoff run that Grunfeld contract isn't renewed either.

Also Gortat is a nice piece, nothing more nothing less. So plz wizards don't bid against yourselves for him when he's a FA.

As far as who will win this thing: Miami can't beat this year's Spurs and the Spurs can't beat OKC and I don't think OKC can beat Miami. So I guess Spurs or Miami?

The way the Bulls are playing at the moment, the wizards looks like they have this series in the bag already. 2-0 up heading back to Washington, and Chicago looking deflated.

I would probably agree with that, although Randy Whitman and Ernie Grunfeld must been doing something right to get the wizards from lottery candidates to leading a play-off series in just a few years, right?

Grunfeld has done OK this year bringing in Miller and Gortat. However he's whiffed on the last 2 lottery picks, Vesely might be the worst player in the NBA (I know he did trade Vesely for Miller but he could have had Miller for a ham sandwich) and Olipado is looking to be bust as well. If we got anything from just one of those 2 picks we'd be really good. Plus Grunfeld's moves are one of the reasons that the Wizards were in the dumpster in the 1st place. At best he only deserves a 1 year extension.

Whitman is known around the league as someone who isn't a good coach. Case in point the Wizards schitzo play and awful play calling at the end of games. Just because you have a decent record doesn't mean you are a good coach. See Vinny Del Negro.

A fair point, well we'll have to see how the wizards get on in these playoffs, they're a bit of a dark horse for me. From what I've been reading on nba.com Coach Grunfeld has been getting a lot of praise for his play calling so far in the play offs, especially down the stretch in the OTs.

Olipado? Is that supposed to be Oladipo from the Magic? I'm slightly confused...

Listened to David Aldridge tell TK that Le Bullets would be tough on the Bulls. Seems he knows what he's talking about.

WAT?!?!?!

The Clippers are historically one of the all time worst franchises in the NBA.

Share a famous sports city with big rivals who have long kept them in their shadow

Get a new manager who gets them playing in a way where they can start challenging again

Use younger players to improve their league position

One of the more exciting teams in the league to watch when they used to be pish

The only thing that differs is they went out and paid a lot of money for Chris Paul, where as we haven't had such a big marquee signing like that, because we couldn't afford one

I think you're romanticizing the Clips a bit. History of failure, that's what this team is until the last 3-4 years. Wasting talent, making bad choices with young players, empty arena and no following. No history, no rings. In the US, they're really only known for losing. They've never disappointed because they've never had expectations. They may be an antithesis to the Lakers, but not much similarity to Everton.

It's very difficult to make NBA-PL analogies because of the peculiarities of the NBA, but watch the Spurs if you want more similarity to Everton.

OK...I see what you mean. In the short term view, I see the parallels you are talking about.

Oh...and I'm rooting for the Warriors. I've kind of adopted them since I've lived in the area for a decade now and Seattle doesn't have a team anymore.

Great fans who've stuck with the team through thick and mostly thin times. Steph Curry is really fun to watch.

I love watching the Warriors and the Clippers, who I've been to watch at the Staples last time I was over. Both very exciting and energetic teams!

I really hope Seattle can get a team back soon mate, lovely city from what I hear and the sports fans are just mad.

This OKC game is great. They come from 17 points down to tie the game with around a minute left and then give two quick baskets away only for Westbrook to make a four point play. Hopefully it goes to over time.

EDIT: Goes to over time!
