Melo all but confirmed to be staying in New York according to various insiders. All the chat about him going to Chicago or the Mavs or the Lakers was ridiculous, can't believe how gullible people are but I guess it's no different to football. Melo is a New Yorker and stated a long time ago it would be a massive wrench to leave New York and take his young son to a new city. This, and the fact the Knicks had the bargaining power of a max contract on the table made it basically inevitable he'd resign for the Knicks but people didn't want know this stuff. As a Knicks fan I'm made up, now we use next season to blood some of the younger guys cos we've got a great nucleus of young lads which Phil Jackson has done well to add to; Cleanthony, Hardaway, Shane Larkin, Tyler, get Shumpert fit and firing (might be traded now due to his contract situation though) and then go all out for a genuine star in the free agency in 2 years time to give Melo a shot at a championship ring. Happy days

In other news, I wonder who all the johnny come lately Heat fans are going to be rooting for next year

Westbrook has the same knee issues, but did not mess a step. I think the Bulls are a sleeper. Rose, Noah, Gasol, etc. Very good basketball right there. The East is intriguing for once.

Gasol's a good pick up for the Bulls if he goes there, was reading bleacher a while back about the possibility of the Knicks grabbing him but I didn't get my hopes up. Not sure he's going to get over his injuries at this stage of his career though so the Bulls aren't going to be serious championship contenders pinning their hopes on players like him and fellow sick note, Rose

this may be my all time fav gif
