The long ball is the most predictable thing in football mate. The minute you see the centre half gearing up for the punt then its bread and butter defending to deal with it. Only strikers who are best suited for it are going to get anywhere with it

Maybe we should settle for something inbetween...something in the middle, catch my drift? no? ok...

Maybe instead of hoofing to the attack, or playing from the back..we should include that talented group of individuals in the middle of the park called midfielders, these midfielders could stop us playing in a dangerous area, and also release the ball to the attacker.
