Lads I don't want to seem like an attention seeker or whatever but I'm sick of living here, my step dad kicked off at me again tonight, all because I forgot to take my shoes upstairs, so he launched them at me and one shamed me in the face so I ran over to him and pushed him, so he started strangling me against the bannister until I've got cuts on my back cuz he forced me against so hard and cuts from his fingernails on my throat, and then as I was walking away I spat at him which I know is disgusting but he then chased me upstairs and I tried to lock my door but he barged through and grabbed me face and forced my mouth open and spat down throat, sorry to tell you all this but I suppose I need to tell someone I guess.

My suggestion would be leave as soon as you can support yourself, in the meantime try not to do stuff to make him kickoff. But, next time he does call the cops in, it's called assault.

thats not on mate hopefully someone flattens the **** he's a bully mate pure and simple alright hitting kids try doing it to an adult

Sounds a bit extreme that, lad. Have you considered the police or other resources?

I know mate and I've called the Police before but I've changed my story every time because I don't want my little brother to grow up without a Dad around like I did. It's really hard but I guess it's only a couple more years.

Not my place at all to get involved in your life, mate. But wouldn't that put your little brother in the same **** situation you're going through except without a big brother to protect him?

I know but I'd always hoped it'd be different for him with him being his real Dad, also it started for me when I was 5 and my little brother's 9 now. I dunno though, massive dilemma.

If you are still at school you need to ask to speak to the designated person for safeguarding. I realise that's a big step but this problem won't go away and if you have other brothers and sisters you need to think about them also. Your school will have procedures in place to help you.
