I read that before - what did you tell them?

She asked what I want to get career-wise and I said I want to be a Designer for a known design company, not just a small, local one, and she said "So you don't have high aspirations." Like, in a sly way and I was like ?!?!
But if I'd have said any more, like I want to be the head of studio at a large company that's globally know as one of the best and travelling around the world to seminars and client talks, it'd just sound unrealistic and she'd have probably rolled her eyes.

Are we talking about "Do androids dream of electric sheep?' here? Really?

It's a complete mess. There's a whole religion/philosophy subplot that is compeltely out of place and only makes sense if you've read an earleir short story of his, there's no coherent plot and all the characters are both too broad and too unsympathetic.
