Re: race relations being at an all time low, an example of "reverse racism" clear as day here.

... and it's being defended widely on social media. That's the most disturbing aspect; that crystal clear, "black supremacist" racism is being applauded. Society in the gutter.

The guy has been sacked.

Wtf is this nonsense. It doesn’t even sound like he believes what he’s saying lol.

He hasn’t been sacked. The fact that Drew Brees was given more condemnation by his fellow professionals about not taking a knee during the national anthem than a guy who quoted Hitler ffs tells you everything you need to know about how there is absolutely no consistency anymore when it comes to “social justice”.

Jackson didn’t quote Hitler, though. He thought he was, but the quote was made up.

I should have added quotes “attributed” to Hitler.

What point are you actually making here? The message behind his post was pretty obvious... unless of course it was satire.

Do you think there is a serious problem with reverse racism in society? As in, do you think white people are oppressed at a systemic level.

I’m not talking about individual racism such as this. You could probably find an example of anything you wanted really.

But genuinely, do you think reverse racism (not individual racist acts such as this) at a systemic issue is a problem?

That's my point really. Spot on.

I don't see it that way. I see it as a barrier to equality. I don't think you counter racism by being racist the other way - all that does is alienate and create extremist "tribes" on either side. There will be loads of white people who watch that video and the response to it and say "well, screw you then".

So I think it's a growing problem in terms of racial equality, yes. Not in terms of oppression at a systemic level, as that would be silly.

Even “attributed” would have been wrong.

I wasn’t making any wider point than you were wrong, but if you want me to call out your daft whataboutery in bringing it up then I’ll happily do that too.

As an starter for ten, Brees wasn’t sacked either. He just got criticised for what he said, as Jackson was.

Imagine even making an argument comparing nicking sweets to making money off enslaving people.

Well, the statue of Colston was erected due to his philanthropy, but the argument has been made that it also celebrates slavery.

OK then. So, logically, if the BLM protester - with the statue erected for protesting for black rights - has another side to their past, then the statue can't be allowed to stand either, as you are then celebrating robbery. You don't want to celebrate criminals, right?

Works both ways. We have to tear down everything. Churchill was an inspirational WW2 leader, but he did some other bad things so down he comes. Nelson? Trafalgar? Who cares, down he comes.

And so on.

You think what Jackson said/inferred was equivalent to what Brees said?

Clueless.

Well done on reducing the arguments made against that statue to the point you think that it’s justified to tear another statue down if it turns out the girl concerned once pilfered sweets.

Colston traded slaves; that is why the people of Bristol spent years arguing that it should not be there. That they were largely ignored is what unfortunately led to it going in the sea.

I don't. I'm highlighting the stupidity of the whole argument. Congrats on missing the point.
