bit of a Blair/ Brown double act see were your going with it, to be honest think we need a new face to take us onwards Northern , down to earth, bit polished in front of the media , if we just stick up another metropolitan face spouting the same narrow message that nobody outside of the party listens to or relates to the Labour party is finished, not just beat finished
ps don't mind Khan at all should hold office if they ever get in..

He is the only labour member i can think up with a bit of charisma, there are other issues obviously but the leader has to have something interesting/inspiring about him to win the votes of people who just arent interested in politics

The problem is that such a person doesn't exist, certainly in the current PLP - and its hard to see how one ever would if the current opposition to Corbyn got back in power.

I wouldn't either, but as I said above he really needs to get a lot better at his current job. He hasn't exactly done much yet - the Garden Bridge is still not cancelled, for instance - and there are worrying signs he is about to walk straight into massive and obvious traps laid for him by the Government over housing, the NHS in London (especially the LAS) and policing.

Labours Brexit plan is a disaster staying in the single market is not leaving the EU!
How they will negotiate on those terms is rolling over and getting your tummy tickled!

It would actually be quite easy - all you'd have to do is retreat to the position of what the treaty actually says (and dispose of the later EC decisions and especially the way the British Government have acted with regards to housing, class sizes and public services generally) and you would get rid of 90% of the complaints that people have about EU-UK migration:

  1. Freedom of movement for workers shall be secured within the Community.
  2. Such freedom of movement shall entail the abolition of any discrimination based on nationality between workers of the Member States as regards employment, remuneration and other conditions of work and employment.
  3. It shall entail the right, subject to limitations justified on grounds of public policy, public security or public health:
    (a) to accept offers of employment actually made;
    (b) to move freely within the territory of Member States for this purpose;
    (c) to stay in a Member State for the purpose of employment in accordance with the provisions governing the employment of nationals of that State laid down by law, regulation or administrative action;
    (d) to remain in the territory of a Member State after having been employed in that State, subject to conditions which shall be embodied in implementing regulations to be drawn up by the Commission.

Keir starmer just been n the DP - it was as clear as mud!

Damn right. Same on replacing trident. Talk about getting splinters in your ass. The party haven't got a clear message so will lose voters to parties who least have made a choice.

And Starmer has just made it even worse. Some political blogs even suggest he outlined today a hard Brexit and an end to freedom of movement.

Also think it is a bit of shame, if the party has been on election footing since the start of the year, that the manifesto is not yet for to publish. Would have been great if week one wham, here's our position, here are our values, show us your hand tories.

But the rumours are that there is massive internal strife over the content of drafts and it is being ripped apart.

Precisely, they could show they got their shhh together but no, it's like they are actually trying to be a parody of a party. Perhaps we will find out that the whole thing is just being filmed 'The Office' style for the next comic relief night as surely you couldn't be unintentionally this bad?

Heartbreaking when you think that people who have been Labour all their lives, in the heartlands of the party, are being interviewed on live TV and saying they might well vote for the Conservatives this time.

It's infuriating. Rather than try and reach out an unify with uneasy Labour supporters, they've just decide to double down on the mayhem and carry on regardless.

Did you see today that when someone asked Tim Farron about his ridiculously archaic stance on gay rights, his "supporters" booed and sneered down the question? What on earth is that about?

Politics in this country mate. Total mess and dominated by extreme views. Centre Frandly Party is nice to everyone except Butters and Dog Dangers

Now is a good time to start mate. Marcons centrist party was only founded a year ago and he is about to become president of France!

Just goes to show as long as someone has a half decent plan and the party is not ripping itself to pieces what can be achieved. The world is your lobster. :)

I have wonderful Friends on the CFP committee and we achieve a lot in the wonderful society that is GrandOldTeam.com

Right now, one of the things we are drawing attention to is that @Chunky Frankfurter is previously banned poster @butters and @Nil Satis Niasse Optimum . We feel this is a hot issue and something our support is passionate about.

If Labour were as effective as us, it's be a bigger margin win than 97

...or her. Some very good young Labour MPs. Nobody impresses me as much as Lisa Nandy.
