Have to day not much to dislike in the 128 pages. Lots of good stuff in there. So I take it the higher tax for those earning high wages and scrapping the tuition fees are the main bones of contention?
Yes.. I'm surprised that the lowering the age to 16 isn't really being mentioned.. but I completely agree with it.

Why do you believe it shoudnt have an inquiry?
I think it's tried to, very distastefully, jump on the Hillsborough inquiry. There's nothing to be gained by opening up old wounds - we aren't talking about people being killed unlawfully.

Tuition fees pledge is rank bad policy, but what's even more unbelievable is that most students still believe the myth that it will leave them saddled with crippling debt. And I say that as someone who only graduated coming up on 2 years ago. A hugely regressive policy and just sums up the entitlement that fills most people my age. Demand everything for free but refuse point blank that they should have to pay back once they earn a comfortable wage.

Free education at point of use. Then graduates who go on to be successful start paying a little bit back to fund our universities once they earn a decent wage. What on earth is not to support there???

I think it goes back to the fundamental issue of whether or not universities should be free. They have been so previously, and I personally agree that they should be but I'm not going to debate on the plus's or minus's of that policy as I know we won't come to an agreement but I appreciate your own view. My student debt is just short of £50,000 and taking into account the increasing cost of living and the difficulty in affording to rent your own place post university, whilst also paying back any tuition, I can fully understand current tuition fees and lack of grants etc can cause some people to think again about going to university.

Not sure I agree it's jumping on the bandwagon of Hillsborough if I'm honest. There have been calls for this for a long time and the conservatives recently said they wouldn't have an inquiry. So I can understand it being in there.

I think the new schools department set up much like the NHS is an interesting one and also the ministry of employment (think that's what it was called)

I'm in favour of a fairer society that helps the many and not just the rich. The Tories don't care about most people in this country and they are pretty heartless .
You mean those brexit voting, racist, inbreds are now poor ickle victims?
