Tony Blair would steer this country in the right direction.

The Tories are the luckiest political party in the world, aren't they. Rubbing their hands together with glee in anticipation of another Labour civil war which will see the incompetent left battle with the incompetent right for leadership of a party that becomes more irrelevant every single day. Sigh.

Sad isn’t it, a poor opposition gives the ruling party free reign.

Not even sure where it started going wrong for Labour.

Him and Brown got suckered into deregulation of financial markets, which ultimately led to financial crash, which has suppressed living standards and deep running austerity program ever since to get us out of it. And the electorate behaves as it always does when baring the finance burden they go all out for populism... Brown has admitted the mistake not sure Blair has.

Ed Miliband offered more austerity and David Miliband would've done the same. You could argue there'd have been a more professional operation but people said the same about Starmer.

The Tories framed that narrative perfectly to the point where even now people with little interest in politics will tell you that Labour crashed the economy.

The worst part is that Labour even played into the narrative, standing by as the Tories threw the most vulnerable under the bus.

The Blair obsessives are the ones with the short memories not realising two elections after he left were run on new labour policies and lost.

Plus the country is a completely different place to what it was when he became PM.
