If I were Jewish, and I’m not, then I think I would take offence in the same way that some holocaust deniers try to suggest either it didn’t happen or it was not as bad as reported. He possibly chanced his arm to test the strength and resolve of the left for a fight and it looks like he shat his kecks.

Possibly. And that issue is way more important, which is why it was unforgivable for Starmer to try and provoke the left in the LP.

FWIW I think the party officers looking at this will conclude that there was no *AS* at play in Corbyn's statement and that there will be a reminder to him to try and stay on message...which is a huge irony given that he was never afforded that when he was leader.

Starmer has tested the water and found out it's way too hot to attack the left while the unions are still under the control of Corbyn's friends if not Corbynites.

Isn't Starmer getting the same blame as Corbyn did when leader as in its actually the Labour chairperson. Lavery under Corbyn and now Evans calling the shots discipline matters?
