Even the BBC last night were questioning LP shadow ministers about whether Starmer had given Johnson a free pass on the controversial decision to open up the economy / society again.

You know you are on the right wing of politics when that happens.

He's not remotely supportable if you consider yourself on the left. Ask someone on here like @Connor who was hopeful Starmer would be just a better salesman of left wing ideas and policies. People like him have given up that belief after the feller has been in his leader's post for about 3 months.

He's Blair minus the charisma.

In the words you type on here.

In the real world though this is clearly not true.

Yep, I voted for Starmer for the hopes that he would continue part of what Corbyn was doing but be taken slightly more seriously.

That hasn’t happened and I should have just voted for RLB like planned

There is no Labour leader, and no crisis that this government could mess up, that will ever result in those bits of the media currently backing Johnson withdrawing that support.

It was a foolish belief to think that would happen when Corbyn was leader (and the centrists were going around saying that ditching him would result in a Labour leader being covered honestly), and has been confirmed as fact now Corbs has gone and the media coverage of the government is even worse, with even less questioning of obvious wrongdoing.

No, it isn’t. For a start they didn’t chase him into the tube train, according to the inquest he wasn’t aware he was being followed until they grabbed him.
They ran down there with one intention: shoot to kill. He wasn't challenged to surrender, he was pushed back into his seat and then shot 7 times in the head.

Then the cover up began, ending with Starmer saying "nothing to see here folks, move along".

.... and convicting the Met of causing his death?

I'm sure in your mind, this is how the world works, but the reality is very different.

I'm not got to retread the thread about why, at best, your summary is immature and misrepresentative.

Of all the things you could attack Starmer about, particularly in his role as DPP/head of the CPS, you pick the one so easy to dismiss.
No neither am I. I'll just simply state that you're an apologist for a man who made several, shall we say, 'illiberal' judgements to protect the state's "security" forces while DPP.

This feller is a careereist and part and parcel of the Establishment. How on earth a scumbag like him has gained power after Corbyn I dont know.

Wasnt he elected by the same electorate that voted for Corbyn?

It really isn't an assassination. You could at least use the correct definitions of words when you're trying to make such a definite point.
What word would you describe for an unarmed man not given the chance to surrender and then shot in the head 7 times at point blank range?

Starmer sits behind his mahogany desk that's been passed down through his family of wealthy nurses and toolmakers. He admires how it was built by the working class of The North for a pittance.

He considers how he'll eventually get to his final goal of turning the Labour Party into a far-right party to annoy an Everton fan but first, he must do something.
'Maggie!' He calls out for his daughter who he named after his great political hero, 'Maggie, get me the file on that electrician I don't like.'
She places a photo of a Brazilian looking man in front of him.
He stares at her with this piercing right wing eyes before grabbing his pistol, 'Today, Maggie, I get gun justice'
Nice story. But hels still a right wing scumbag who's going to finally split the LP in years to come.
