Starmer calling for an "inquiry" into the Nosferatu incident.

Well done Sir Keir.

One of those inquiries that can be kicked into the long grass, like you used to over state killings and police abuse.

"Investigative" journalism (a dossier forced on the Mirror and Guardian no donbt by civil sevants) and an opposition sticking to 'forensic' and 'non-confrontational' politics get you - figuratively - Johnson the Butcher and Noseferatu taking down their kecks and dumping a turd at your feet.

This wont cut it.

Labour need to demand a criminal investigation of this government takes place and reference Chilcot and the Iraq Inquiry as the template for it. It needs to speak up and encourage workers to avoid going back into any environment that hasn't been 100% ok'd by trade unions, and above all it needs to demand teachers unions not to go back to work endangering kids and themselves and their own families with infection.

A second spike will come, and Labour need to have their argument and their strategy in place now.

Starmer needs to step up here and DEMAND Cummings' resignation.

it would go something like this...

“While I completely agree with the Prime Minister, in that both legally and technically Mr Cummings has done nothing wrong, and indeed he may have had a justifiable medical and social need to drive to his parents, nonetheless I have read the article in the Mirror and I believe it’s demand for his summary dismissal may have merit. But of course that is a decision for the Prime Minister...”

Not even as pointed as that:

Labour says "the British people were looking for at least an apology from Dominic Cummings during his press conference, but "they got none".

Great.

Forensic and...erm...'kin useless, just like the nobhead leading Labour now.

Ok so being completely honest and putting aside both personal opinion and whether I believe he’s being truthful . I think His drive up to Durham gives him wiggle room , whatever my opinion and whether I believe it’s a breach I think he maybe gives himself sufficient leeway , pending any further developments.

The castle one , nah

It is the hospital one that will do him in - that was in both his and his wife's 14 days isolation, there is the question of what they told the ambulance staff who took his child and his wife to hospital (remember he said he went there so his niece could help) and what happened at the hospital. At one point he said no taxis were available, suggesting he had tried to get one (which would have put the driver at risk) and drove there himself whilst both (according to him) seriously ill and possibly contagious. Patient Transport Ambulances do still exist so there was no reason for him to drive.

The castle one was absolutely laughable.

A practice drive, nah...doesn’t stack up....

Nosferatu makes a mockery of any future demand from government to remain at home in the event of positive tests during track and trace. The LP response:

"It'd be nice to have an apology from Mr Cummings".

63,000 people killed and the Labour front bench are still doffing their cloth caps.

I dunno Dave. I think he might take Johnson to the cleaners here.
He wont demand a resignation. He wont go on the attack on anything.

His strategy for Labour is to demonstrate that they'll be a responsible Tory second XI if the Establishment have need for a change.

He's the exact wrong man for this period in time.

63,000 people slaughtered by the Tory scum and Starmer is still wishing them well and underlining he's there to help and advise the butchers.

Unreal.

Last fella’s record wasn’t too great. P2 L2.

Dragged the party back to within a whisker of power after the Blairites had cratered the party in 2010 and 2015 (and would have won in 2017 if the right wing quislings in Labour hadn't nobbled the party in certain constituencies...the same right wingers now in Starmer's team...that's Starmer who himself decided he'd ignore a democratic vote of the LP membership and launch a coup against Corbyn less than a year before the 2017 election).
