'Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer is up now.

He says he recognises "just how difficult" the decisions the PM has to make are.'

Ladies and gentleman: the Leader of the Opposition has spoken.

55,000 estimated dead and he 'recognises' the difficulty for the man who killed them.

Yep, very professional as you have to be positions of seniority - if you want to be taken seriously. ;)

He's craven. A man on his knees.

Compare and contrast with Ian Blackford the SNP leader in the Commons:

SNP Westminster leader Ian Blackford says "it is obvious the last 24 hours have spread confusion" and warns that "mixed messaging risks lives".

Corbyn has just turned a pandemic into a class war issue.....
It's always been about class.

Blackford made a broad statement Starmer made specific points with regards to the confused messaging which you must have missed.

"There are lots of questions but so far precious few answers," says Keir Starmer.

"People need reassurance and clarity.

"Above all else they need it in the next 48 hours."

He asks if the prime minister could "provide that clarity" and then takes his seat.

"There is not consensus in messaging or policy between the government and Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales," Keir Starmer says.

He notes that the document says travel to outdoor spaces is allowed irrespective of distance.

"Can you travel to the border but not beyond the border," he asks.

"That makes enforcement extremely difficult," he adds.

Transport guidelines 'are not ready', says Starmer

Sir Keir Starmer says new guidelines for social distancing on public transport are "not ready".

He adds that transport companies are being asked to adhere to rules "that don't yet exist".

He asks why the new quarantine rules for arrivals into the UK are "only being introduced now".

Starmer: Clarity on rules 'in short supply'

He says he recognises "just how difficult" the decisions the PM has to make are.

He says the country needs "clarity and reassurance" but these have been in "pretty short supply".

He says the fact Mr Johnson made his TV statement before the document was published "has caused considerable confusion".

With the greatest respect, mate, I imagine that whatever he says or does will not matter to Corbyn fans.

Blackford linked loss of life to Johnson's policies; Starmer didn't.

Dont the SNP make their own decisions in Scotland?
The change in emphasis from 'stay at home' to 'get outside' was issued via the UK Government to the media - his point was that it didn't allow the SNP time to get out in front and inform their people that whatever BS came out of Johnson's mouth was not applicable to them.

Bless him. Sure he will get over it. For weeks Sturgeon has been having her say before England were told what we are doing, thats fine by me.

At least you acknowledge that the pretty crappy results in Scotland are laid firmly at her door though.. A Murderess to add to your vocabulary.

This is a decent point on the face of it. But maybe not for the reason you think.

It IS down to the SNP - and Salmond's SNP in particular - but the Scottish health indicators on a range of conditions were absolutley chronic before the virus hit. Some parts of Scotland had east European rates of certain diseases. It was a national scandal.

For the Scots to have kept broadly in line with the UK in this crisis is a triumph for basic organisation up there...and it underlnes just how rotten the organisation in England has been that they could fall to the mortality rate of Scotland.

Apparently Starmer is giving his response on telly tonight at 6.55 BBC1.

Let\'s hope the gloves come off.
