Boris just won with a majority of 80...just let that sink in, after ten years of Conservative government, with 3 years of May and failing to deliver Brexit, allowing the opposition an open goal, Boris still won by 80........

For now I prefer to carry on thinking this is just one messed up nightmare and I'll wake up back in August with Everton ready to make a run for the top 4 and hopes of a socialist utopia still alive.

I get your point that she has form with the Rochester comment.

But given her reaction and threats of legal action, I’m minded to think she maybe didn’t say these things.

Plus, I’ve never trusted that Flint one bit. Snidy one her.

I think Flint said it with Thornberry's previous in mind, as she knew it would fly. It was designed to harm her chances of leading the party.

I don't think Thornberry's reaction would have been so vehement if there were any truth in it.

Threats of legal action mean either she did not say those things or she knows it's one persons word against the other and she can bully Flint into silence.

The law and justice share an uneasy relationship.

My dad has moved ever leftwards as he's got older, from supporting the SDP when I was little to telling me Fidel Castro.wqs the world's greatest statesman shortly before Castro's death, and spending much of his retirement in places like Nicaragua and Palestine.
