'I own this disaster': John McDonnell tries to shield Corbyn
Shadow chancellor suggests his preferred choice as new Labour leader is Rebecca Long-Bailey
Yet more reasons why Long-Bailey shouldn't be a consideration.
No mate. The agenda of the hard left is to stamp on anyone they do not consider wirkin class. Seen it all before and never thought I would see it again. Hate the PM by the way and am disgusted by the lack of realism from Labour. After Cameron it should have been shooting fish in a barrel. Corbyn shot himself...genius. Now we will have ten years of horror after the initial bung to the North.
We've been sold the story that less people starving to death is unrealistic and would destroy the country, just read through this thread and you can see the well financed tory propaganda machine in full effectHard left? Seriously? Wanting investment in hospitals, schools, social care, this is hard left politics is it?
After Cameron the 'right' in the party constantly and consistently attacked these policies and Corbyn personally despite the policies being implemented at conference. They answered to no one, not the elected NEC, nor their members, they went on a wrecking spree. The PLP right never attacked tory policy, yet regularly attacked labour policy they were elected to promote. From Watson to Umuna, Berger etc they all did the tories work for them, not only did that not promote the option of a better way it displayed disunity handing the clear election campaign to Cummings, so no, the 'agenda of the hard left' only exists in Mail and Telegraph readers and those duped into the 'four legs good' mantra of get brexit done.

It’s almost certain to be Long-bailey and the reason is Brexit and political positioning. Not that she’s anywhere near being pro brexit, mainly that how on earth do you convince the public to vote for a Blairite like Starmer. You would immediately lose anyone who voted for Corbyn and clearly the northern vote would remain Tory. What votes are there actually left to pick up with a centrist, remain stance at present?![]()

All you do is slag off momentum. I have no real knowledge of them, but from the polices that they get the blame for all I can see is a willingness to help those less fortunate (bar and kinda including brexit). The reasons the left lost are numerous, but I always remember what I was told when I was about 9, the party with the most money wins the election.Which is what I mean when I say that Momentum have murdered the Labour party.
That was his own fault, also the loss of the Jewish vote should not be underestimated.Brexit was the keystone in this election, was always going to be. Corbyn was a 'leaver' all his political life. He allowed himself to let the Labour remainer's call the tune and decided that the best way to cover himself was to say he was 'neutral'. This was the worst thing he could have done and just emphasised his weakness.

That isn't true is it? Even for you that's a big steaming pile...Which is what I mean when I say that Momentum have murdered the Labour party.
