Christ, I'd have to have a couple of drinks before voting for him and I am a member of the same party.

I suppose that's the thing isn't it? I love the area I live in, and think it's by and large fantastic, so you could argue that therefore he's done alright, but equally I suspect he's had next to no involvement in that, and I have no idea what he's done on a national scale.

It all seems quaintly old fashioned to knock on people's doors and send paper leaflets to constituents, and because this is quite expensive, it's only done when there's an election on. I'm sure they put some effort into local party meetings and stuff, but the vast majority of voters aren't a member of a political party, so they're ignored. It seems a strange way to engage with people who are supposed to be important to you.

Just seen an IFS report on the news after they have run the numbers so to speak.

Low and behold Johnson’s deal will leave us worse off than remain or even mays deal. Of the 4 possible scenarios remain, Johnson’s deal , mays deal or no deal.... not surprisingly only no deal was worse than Johnson’s. I’m no economist but it didn’t look too promising to me.

I believe the figure of 70 billion per year was mentioned... taking into consideration no more payments to the Eu. I am happy to be corrected if I’ve misheard this.

Brexit voters survived the asteroid hitting the earth that time, they can survive this.

That's probably assuming the Government's somewhat efficient. Came out today that Gove spaffed nearly a billion on a failed education initiative whilst in the job and his advisor was Cummings then - factor in Boris and all his scams and the next Grayling...

It's truly astounding the amount of money the Tory party have wasted on failed projects over the years.... The numbers are truly mind numbing yet people are still relying on food banks to survive.

Labour run events up and down the country all the time, as do all parties. Don't know why you're surprised people campaign more during an election. People have busy lives. Jobs and families and all that.

Indeed, Labour have been running consultation Road shows up and down country for a while now to build our manifesto... Even been in my constituency back in the summer where Labour have never had MP.

I suppose there is some merit with a degree of subservience in what CEO or paper owner wants a government to do, if that's Tory Liberal schtick, up to them, but a very narrow viewpoint to build a cohesive society. And with some hindsight this narrow viewpoint and its agenda is likely the foundation that has split the country...
