Err, the global financial system crashed. You're perhaps explaining the flaws in your 'I lived through it' as a defence.
Only by £500 billion, and it is for public record, the single biggest contributing factor was deregulation of the financial sector by Labour, causing the crash and subsequent bail out, indeed could have been much worse as Conservative in opposition had argued for much further deregulation...

It's a matter of time now when the next crash comes, this time pensioners will get it as much as anyone else as pension market was deregulated by Tories and their enablers the Liberal Democrats.

I wouldn't say Labour were blameless as there were clearly flaws in how the financial system operated, was regulated and the kind of behaviours consumers engaged in. I just think a crisis that started in America makes it tough to pin all of the blame on Labour.

This is one of the reasons so many distrust him. He's never supported a 2nd referendum, and in this tweet has deliberately used the language of the campaign for a 2nd referendum, yet 'putting it to the people' could equally mean wanting a general election. He's a sneak.

Hold on, even if they do get an election aren't they still comitted to a ref on leaving stance vs remain?

The point is he's still hedging his bets rather than showing a clear direction.
Only if you incorrectly assume his motive (s) and attribute unity of a singular person to what's actually a democratic fellowship.

We both know where you stand on this, and how the leavers have been manipulated, but i agree with the way Labour have handled this aspect, even though they're getting slated by the extremes that either want to re-run the vote, again offering little of substance, or those that support a damaging exit that nobody voted for.

People distrust him because they've been repeatedly told to, to the point that even reality can safely be ignored if it conflicts with opposing Corbyn. Look at your post for example, which criticises him for "never supporting a second referendum" even though its been Labour policy, which he has stated numerous times, to have a second referendum as an option for at least a year.

This is the problem that Labour has now, that people react to what they hear rather than stop to examine what it is they are getting so upset about. If the second referendum - which by itself really is a completely stupid idea - isn't enough evidence of that, look at the scandal that erupted when Ellie Reeves was "targetted for deselection" - in the sense of the word that one member of her 2000-strong CLP sent an email asking for one, which was withdrawn.
