You fellas follow the bloke far more than I do, but where is Corbyn at the moment? Seems quite an important time for a number of reasons yet he doesn't seem present in the media, leaving it instead to McDonnell over the weekend. Is he not well?

There's nothing really important going on at the moment, so he deserves a hard earned rest...

Preparing urgent question for Parliament which will be asked later today, just day to day opposition stuff. Rather than delivering sound bites to media luvvie types, there is veneer mass media politics and then there is actual politics of Westminster such as asking urgent questions.

All a bit ugly isn't it?

Did you watch the whole show.? They seemingly clashed off air whilst a non related film clip was being shown and it continued after they came back on air. As she was describing what had gone on off air, he was sitting their smiling. He didn't come out of it too well in fairness.

Peter Oborne (not exactly a LP voter himself, but IS a genuinely rigorous reporter) utterly ribbons establishment puppet Tom Bower's hatchet job book on Corbyn.

A tour de force in skewering a blatant pack of lies.
This is possibly even more scathing, although more expected, given the source:

Aye, I saw that clip. He doesn't come out of it well at all. It's obviously quite right that evidence should be sought whenever possible, but if the MeToo campaign has told us anything, it's that the number of incidents dwarfs those able to provide the kind of evidence that would lead to a prosecution. That doesn't diminish those incidents though, and you'd think Mason would know that and not be quite so rude in his response. That is if he really wanted to get to the bottom of things of course, whereas if he just wanted to brush off allegations he didn't like, then taking the aggressive stance he did would seem the better approach.

I think Momentum has more female members than male.

For the record, I'm not suggesting for one minute that the way he behaved is in any way a reflection of Momentum or Labour more broadly. Just think he comes across badly in that exchange, and sadly some supporters don't help matters in the comments either. Hopefully they're a minority.

Why? Because he treats her like he'd treat any feller or other woman looking for serious debate rather than treat her like a demure "little lady"...which would be offensive.

Yeah, decent piece. I like Stephen Bush. He's got a measured often deadpan delivery and he's not the usual Guardianista hysterical tit concerning the LP leadership.

There's talk on here of bullying...I'd love to hear those perpetrating such accusations give their view on the undeniably industrial scale bullying of Jeremy Corbyn.

Maybe they will, who knows.........

It's like MeToo has not happened  We live in a world where attacks on women are quite probably the most under-reported of all crimes, and in which the victims are often then criticised for not reporting it. Even when things are reported, convictions are incredibly rare.

Hopefully Dewsbury has received nothing on that level, but I would think abuse or threats of violence on any level are something that should be called to account. Are we really saying here that unless such attacks result in a criminal conviction that they're meaningless? Maybe I should rescind my earlier comment to @Number_25 if your attitude is commonplace Dave.

Michelle Dewbury has been backed to the gunnels by "Lord" Alan Sugar. She's done his bidding. And we all know what that rancid get thinks of Corbyn.

A criminal conviction is not the metric I'm asking for. She appears to believe that "evidence" is her tweeting her opinion she'd been abused on her account and / or someone claiming to be a member of Momentum abusing her.

Is that the criteria we should lower proof of bullying to?

As I said elsewhere above: if you want to condemn bullying maybe you can start by condemning the day to day character assassination of Jeremy Corbyn....which is very real and has already resulted in him being ASSAULTED.
