....I don’t Matey, I just believe what her close colleagues say. I’m old, I remember similar politics with Militant. I remember the war at Party conference. The people of Liverpool returned a Liberal Council for many years.
Thats because their REAL Labour councillors were deselected and thrown out the party.

...nobody is doubting the dreadful abuse of Diane Abbott, it has been condemed widely across all parties. So nobody from the Labour Party has gone to jail for harassing Luciana Berger, it doesn’t mean she hasn’t been bullied from within.

Tom Watson says she’s been hounded out of the Party. Other Labour MPs are particularly critical of her treatment by members. Don’t cover it up, accept it’s happening and campaign to get rid of that element.
Tom Watson lied and said Leon Brittan was a paedophile. Why are you taking that liar's word for it - a man who takes half million pound bungs?

Define harassment and bullying?
I'd imagine that a peaceful, law abiding member of the Wavertee Labour Party would feel bullied by senior members of the party looking to take their membership of decades standing away from them because of allegations trumped up by their fellows in the Blairite-lite wing of the PLP and the media. I'd feel bullied if I were them.

I support booting out the Blairites, but...and it's a massive but...Labour without blairism hasn't won an election in over 40 years.

If Corbyn's Labour don't win the next one, then either the Blairites will take over Labour or Labour will suffer LibDem-esque loss of confidence among the voters, leaving the door open for this new centrist party to move up the field (as has happened in Germany with AfD, which contrary to media reports actually offer mostly centrist policies).

In short, Corbyn must win the next election otherwise we can permanently say goodbye to socialist ideals meaning anything at national level.
First post Brexit Govt will be a poison chalice. Best left to Boris.

As an interested observer, there isnt a requirement to make a list of instances of intimidation. If a LP supporter feels that there is an air of intimidation, then there is. A quick scan through this thread will easily throw up examples of folk/MPs not fully behind the Corbyn version of "Labour" routinely described as Rats, Traitors, Scum, Slimey, etc.

That in itself suggests that if you are not a paid up member of ONE brand of the Labour movement, you will not be tolerated. And that, to a floating, not that arsed really either way bloke, is a throwback to a time the Labour Party exhibited similar traits, and was turned off by it.

It isnt the actual policies, its the baggage.

Well, if you can't list instances of intimidation then its very hard to substantiate the belief that it is happening to a massive extent.

As for how people are described on here - for a start, this is a football forum and not a Labour one, and secondly why is it objectionable to describe Blairite MPs as rats / traitors / scum etc when it seemingly isnt (here or elsewhere) objectionable that Corbyn is described as a traitor, a Marxist, hard-left and all the rest? Or call people who back him cultists? Why is it ok for Watson to describe Labour members as "racist thugs", or Umunna to suggest that working class voters would never vote for a black man? Why was it ok for Danczuk to describe Corbyn supporters as "three quid dog-on-a-rope rent-a-Trots"?

Labour is a broad church, but like all churches if the people who rule it lose power then you can bet they will use every trick at their disposal to get it back.

I've heard numerous Labour MPs saying the reverse. Where does that leave us? I'll tell you: with a load of unsubstantiated anecdotal evidence trotted out by people with agendas.

Quite obvious something is happening, you can see by the attitudes on here that anyone right of Tony Benn is being targeted (yes that is an exaggeration before anyone starts) for extermination (that part is true given the comments here). :)

Now these things might have always happened but now with social media I doubt they can get a break away from the hate to be able to rationalise it. With what happened to Jo Cox fresh in the mind, if your party is not even behind you can't blame them for thinking is it worth it.
