He is pretty much the opposite of a careerist dave - or rather, if he is a careerist then it isn't in politics.
He has his eyes on the Labour leadership. His past as the PP was very useful background experience. Look at his name and who he was named after. He feels destined...in his own head.

Not to be trusted.

They tried to copy it in 2017 with a group called Activate, it was disbanded in 2018.

Momentum are good on the campaign front, and will be when the next election takes place.

Did they? Is that now the ERG, in all but name then?

if it won?

i) ban anyone from owning more than one media outlet
ii) bring in an "honest services" offence, making directors and above be required to perform their duties for the good of their company, not themselves
iii) make it easier for investors and shareholders to sue accountancy firms that do not detect fraud / false accounting in the firms they audit
iv) bring in the offshore ownership register that Cameron promised and look to increase the tax burden on offshored properties
v) build a very large number of social homes, and bring in a better version of right-to-buy (for example, a family has a home and pays slightly above the rental value for 30 years, at the end of the period the home is theirs, they can dispose of it amongst the family but the state has first refusal if they sell it).
vi) electrify the rest of the railway network and expand it where possible
vii) buy up as many PFI schemes as possible, and if necessary depress the sale price by raising each and every contract issue they can think of (as Boris did)
viii) make lobbying by or on behalf of foreign governments illegal
ix) bring in a much better safety concerns reporting system across government and in public agencies, especially the NHS and police / prisons
x) look to increase the amount and quality of services the state provides whilst reducing the money it pays out (in tax credits, child benefit, other welfare payments etc)

You didn't mention take the services back into public ownership.

The problem with all that is if they are not whiter than white, or the deficit or national debt increases enough to make the media report that Labour are being profligate (which as you know is probably about £1 more than what is spent at the moment), then the Tories will be back in power faster than a blink of an eye. Then all the money invested into doing the above will be wasted as they will reverse 90% of it.

....ah, so it must be a media generated campaign. The Labour Party has not been taken over by Momentum, there is no bullying or harassment, its members are tolerant of different views and it remains a broad church.

I wish.

...nobody is doubting the dreadful abuse of Diane Abbott, it has been condemed widely across all parties. So nobody from the Labour Party has gone to jail for harassing Luciana Berger, it doesn’t mean she hasn’t been bullied from within.

Tom Watson says she’s been hounded out of the Party. Other Labour MPs are particularly critical of her treatment by members. Don’t cover it up, accept it’s happening and campaign to get rid of that element.

I agree with the first part of your response.

That being said, she has been universally unpopular since being parachuted in. I believe that the people of Wavertree deserve the opportunity to be represented by someone that shares the same beliefs as they do.

It also means she hasn't been bullied from within, unless you have specific examples.

....I don’t Matey, I just believe what her close colleagues say. I’m old, I remember similar politics with Militant. I remember the war at Party conference. The people of Liverpool returned a Liberal Council for many years.
