Just for people to examine their own views to see if they might be contributing to some of this.
Look at this thread, in which the issue has been raised and acknowledged by almost all, and yet several cannot make the connection between using “Zionist”, Israelis or Jews interchangeably (deliberately or accidentally) and this.
No one is pretending that it isn’t being exploited by groups who want to destroy Corbyn and the left, but really people should stop handing them the ammunition to do it.
I think Tom Watson spoke quite well this morning while on the Andrew Marr show.
I don't have a problem with doing away with terms that evolve into something more offensive than their original intention, and never put myself in a situation where I tell people they have no right to be offended, it's ignorant and lazy.
Though my question was in part wondering what more you would have the Labour party do about anti-semitism than they currently are, but perhaps I misinterpreted your statement if it was referring to the use of the term zionist in this thread

I’d have a completely independent and effective body for all complaints, with the investigations public once completed. It will still get criticism, but if people can see what it’s doing that will be restricted to those who would criticise us whatever we did.

Comrade, I have been actively campaigning with the BDS movement for years. I'm a huge opponent of, what I believe to be an apartheid state, Israel. I am vehemently anti-racist, and as such am anti-Zionist.
Moreover, I have gone door to do with Jewish members of the Labour Party and have been fortunate to attend JLM events at University. I am a huge opponent of all forms of racism, and as such I believe anti-Semities need to be removed from positions within civil society.
