A lad I’ve known for years and play a bit of golf with sometimes put this and other right wing crap on a WhatsApp group we are in yesterday.

I’m supposed to be going away with him in April to Portugal for a bit of golf and I’m cancelling going today.

I refuse to mix with people like this in society. I came off X to get away from this type of right wing nonsense, it’s fkn appalling.

They are advising this would only be as a last resort.
Would imagine this would be handled on a case by case basis and if the fraudulent claimant has avoided repeated attempts to pay the money back. Much like council tax debt, where you’d only go to jail if you were found to actually have the money but you just didn’t pay it.

Wouldn't it be easier to seize and sell the car to recover monies owed? How is it possible to go gunning for benefit cheats* when there's a load of covid fraud unaccounted for? Will taken licences show as bans to insurance companies with all legal ramifications? Is benefit fraud so rampant that it's a going concern to those in the industry - does it pay so handsome to be worth the mither? who's taking and giving the licence back? DVLA? Is the plan to expand the DSS into the DVLA? What next, passport office? Limited access to NHS?

Another layer of bureaucracy creating more questions and problems than it solves.

Covid fraud was one of the main things I was looking for them to tackle early.
