Current Affairs The Labour Party

They're not tough decisions, they're class-based decisions; and on that score this government already has a woeful record in shoring up existing class arrangements with maybe only the settlement with rail unions as a feather in their cap. The rest could have come straight out of the Tory playbook.
There won't be sweeping political revolution, nor should there be, we saw what almost happned with right wing Truss and her libertarian economic policy many working people will live with that flirt with ideology probably for the rest of their working lives. The same would happen with left wing happening. War of attrition centimeter by centimeter to leftist Britain. Then one day we all wake to glorious social democratic (leftist) Britain.

Do you think crime and waiting lists have only been high the past five months? Wait don't answer because your being a tit.
That wasn't my claim, as you know full well.

You might more profitably channel your anger into asking questions about u-turn after u-turn made by the party who conned you back in July.

There's an unfortunate lack of serious discussion in this thread.

Mostly driven by Dave and Pete's outpourings and everyone poking fun.

*sigh*
Spot on mate.
It’s pretty clear Labour are at least attempting to restore some faith in the integrity of politics & show unpopular decisions will be taken to try to drive change & start fixing a broken country. Country above party for the first time in how long?

A narrative that they’re all the same only leads to disengagement. Ministers who act in ways that go against that will find themselves out the door.

Honest criticism, recognising positives & flaws & holding them to account instead of disingenuous jumping the gun & [Poor language removed] cartoons (is that even supposed to be our Ange?) would be most welcome.

I see Starmer is trying to reset the shambles of the last five months with a new ‘plan for change’…

“Sir Keir said: “This Plan for Change is the most ambitious yet honest programme for government in a generation. Mission-led government does not mean picking milestones because they are easy or will happen anyway. It means relentlessly driving real improvements in the lives of working people.”…

Does anyone other than the simple minded actually believe any of this guff he keeps spouting, I mean really……….

You need to keep up with the news, the picture was of your ex transport secretary, but as they are all a bunch of liars, charlatans and hypocrites it’s easily done…..
