Well, as I suggested I’ve just had to raise bar prices across the board by either 20p or 30p per pint. It would have been 21p or 31p but our generous chancellor saved the day by knocking off 1p per pint. God bless St Rachel of the Reeves…….

That could have been written by Trumps team. It is just the right level of stupid.
Heard somewhere they are charging holiday accommodation with a tourist tax - their main source of income plus most public loos to close in certain holiday resorts -plus Mount Snowden to be called by a Welsh name only ?
Madness plus that 20 mile an hour limit to boot !

You do realise that road casualties have decreased since the 20 mph limit was introduced? Also, there no "mount Snowden" in Wales.

Tourism tax will decrease visitors - Snodonia to be predantic is a well known attraction so why change it's name ?
Deaths at 20 miles per hour have rose ,!
The hotels & self catering & camping will have to increase prices on top of a Labour budget utter madness imo it will stop me staying over night

The toilets thing was the decision of a single local council, closing half of them to reduce expenditure over winter.
The rebranding of Snowdon was a decision by the authority that manages the National Park.

Those aren't Senedd decisions, no matter what you 'heard somewhere'.

And the tourism levy proposal is nothing more than giving local councils the power to raise a levy, not an incoming blanket tax across Wales. I don't know much else about it, is it something they want to do to help combat people buying holiday lets in certain parts of Wales and destroying the local village communities?

Reeves: I knew she was a plagiariser but I never knew that she had used her parliamentary credit card for expenses - ran up £4K's worth more payments than she was allowed - and had it taken off her.

What low class people we have in this government.

A clueless liar. And this woman is in charge of the economy.

It can't be that well known since you've got it wrong twice!:lol::lol::lol:

It's on Hotels too .....

It's not on anything, it's giving councils power to raise levies where they see fit.

This is literally the full text of the proposal, anything else you've heard is just someone spinning it to get you whipped up:

We propose that a visitor levy will be a small additional charge to be levied on visitors staying overnight in visitor accommodation.

Any final decisions on how the levy will be applied will be taken following extensive scrutiny and a vote in the Senedd.

We believe it is fair and reasonable to ask visitors to make a contribution towards the wider costs of tourism. Our intention is to foster a sense of shared responsibility between residents and visitors, to protect, and invest in, local areas. Where a levy is used in Wales it should encourage a more sustainable approach to tourism.

We know that tourism plays a vital role in supporting local economies. But unbalanced, poorly supported tourism can also put pressure on local communities and undermine the visitor experience.

A visitor levy is not intended to put people off visiting Wales. Instead, we propose that it would be a small contribution by overnight visitors that will generate additional revenue for local authorities to reinvest in local communities. This would enable them to address some of the costs associated with tourism and encourage a more sustainable approach.

I see you are new to this. The best thing to do is agree or he’ll threaten to shoot you.
