Its asking me to register so i'll take your word for it.

I believe that anyone working & or/studying in a college is doing so to be able to either:

A: Land a high paying job in the private sector

B: Have an easy life whether that is by choice or because they cant handle, or dont want 'pressure' working in the private sector. Typically in my personal experience they simply arent good enough.

It makes no sense on any level that a college is paying 'decent' or 'attractive' salaries for second rate performers.
Another day … another register … 🙄

Controversial in the Telegraph:

After all that cry-arsing about the WFA and targeting pensioners as well.
The triple lock should be canceled. It's a disastrous policy as it takes no account of the economic cycle. By selecting one of the three factors, the pension always rises faster than wages, so pensioners have become significantly richer relative to workers since it was introduced.

Overall, this has led to the state pension rising by 60% in cash terms between 2010 and 2023, compared with prices rising by 42% and earnings rising by only 40%

Given Starmer was banging on about backing "working people" it's hard to see how that situation is at all fair or sustainable.

Yeah, it's an interesting one isn't it? Really surprised to see it in that organ given a) recent hatred of HE and b) the stance on pensions, wfa and so forth.

So utterly pathetic in 'reasoning' that it deserves zero response.

You do realise that pensioners have already put in 50 years each working. Meanwhile you kids have not only done sod all but whinge about everything. It wouldn’t go amiss for you to actually appreciate the work done by the retired folk for the benefit of the country and its ungrateful children … p,s how many years have you actually worked ….

King Midas shows up for his usual light touch.
