That’s just one strand of the press though.

People are very naive if they don’t think large parts of the press have enabled starmer to get into power.

Without getting the press on side you don’t get into power.

Starmer bent over for the right wing press and will continue to do so.

He knows how to play the game and he plays it very well.
I think he's kinda crap at it tbh. The Labour Party are crap at it generally.

They wouldn't be in the funk they are already in if they were.

Their media skills, communication and packaging of policies are shockingly bad. So many own goals already, none of which needed to be, if they were adept at playing "the game".

It won’t “go away” because people who’s “team” lost at the last election who were happy to turn a blind eye to it whilst their glorious leaders were in charge, need something to cling to.

It really is that simple.

There have been no rules broken.

If it is illegal, then let’s have every mp scrutinised to this degree and see what benefits they have received from party donors and hospitality over the last few years.
No it isn't.

You're kidding yourself if you think it's just Blue Tories who are on Starmer and his gang's case.

This isn't some Westminster Village game of whataboutery.

This lot - Starmer's lot - are currently in the process of slicing into welfare spending to be announced in the budget, and have taken cash off pensioners already and told people in low income families with more than one kid that they'll remain in poverty...and you think hiding behind some perverse rule that allows them to take thousands of points in freebies (£100,000 in Starmer's case) is anything but a scandal?

They said they were getting shut of the Tories to clean politics up, but they're up to their eyes in freebies - MPs on £80,000 per annum + tens of thousand more in expenses and Cabinet Ministers on £150,000 per annum and tens of thousands more in expenses getting freebies on top of all that while they tell the poorest to pay the price.

It's utterly 'kin shameful, and you know it too.

Anything illegal yet Dave ?

I think it's gone beyond legal and illegal. The expenses scandal was never illegal, that helped bring down the last Labour government (when it actually approximated to one too).

Starmer saying he wont take freebie gifts (though wont give up his hospitality bungs) has acknowledged it's gone beyond legal/illegal.

Imagine wanting to defend this though. You must be really struggling having to keep justifying them - and all because they mugged you off promising you integrity in politics.

No would have sufficed

I see Free Gear has thrown his own Transport Secretary under the bus today. Louise Haigh had criticised P&O (owned by Dubai) for their anti-union practices. P&O threatened to pull their group's proposed £1B investment int the UK so Starmer chirps up with: "she doesn't speak for us..." - the Transport Minister!

Ha Ha Ha.

Imagine having voted for that turd.

Have to say this is disgraceful and I support Haigh.

I voted for a party, not a leader. Isn't that your trite line when pulled up over voting for Galloway? Trying to squirm out of owning your own horrendous decision you lost any moral authority to lecture people for voting Labour just because of Starmer's actions. Own that.

(Unless of course they live in Camden Town or its environs. I'm sure not many of us do.)
