It is remarkable how this football non-story is dominating the media and the news. It really is an irrelevance. Labour have already achieved so much since getting into Office - ending the strikes, dealing with the riots, announcing HoL reform, NHS review, commencing workers rights overhaul etc etc.
Even means testing the WFA has proven the right thing to do and the roundabout conversation that i have seen develop, where pensioners are now criticising other pensioners for being too wealthy, has really evidenced that, a proper critique of the benefit system is well over due for our older people.
Of course, the negative stories are being fuelled by the right wing media and its foot soldiers. Something needs to be done about that. Freedom of the press is important but I think a review is appropriate.
Uk governments currently give the media huge tax breaks. No VAT on newspapers for example. Surely it is time to end that Reeves? Anyone who pays £2 for the Daily Mail will surely pay £4 for the same news. So let's add VAT and pile on a few additional taxes as well. This way those that pay to read such content can better contribute to UK society.

To be honest im not arsed about the donations thing. It’s happened for years… why it’s such a major story now baffles me. If a company want to give me free clothing because I’m in the public eye and can get their brand seen then I don’t have an issue with that personally.
