It’s a well known fact that the older you get the more selfish you become and that translates to how people vote.
Conservative voters mostly vote with their own interests in mind.
It’s what conservatism is all about. Small state, lack of welfare support, creating a rat race where it’s every man for himself.
If you’re disabled, or vulnerable, then tough, you’re at the bottom of the ladder.
Brexit proves that. The older generation seemed more than happy to ruin the prospects of the younger generation.
You don’t become wiser as you get older, you just become more selfish and focus more on yourself and protecting what’s close to you, which is fine.
Im not pitting the Young against the old, but I believe we’d live in a more compassionate, inclusive country if the older population didn’t just flock to vote conservative every time there’s an election.
