I see Starmer has crawled off to Washington to act as the US puppet: Biden/Washington won't allow their long range missiles to target inside Russia but they will allow Britain to give permission to Ukraine to use theirs.

Pinning a bullseye on our backs for retaliation while they get away Scot-free.

That's the cut of this Red Tory lot. Utter lickspittles who'd place their own people in jeopardy and sacrifice them on the alter of Starmer's vanity...a man who's been Washington's puppet since his time in as DPP.

Wake up people.

Well, at least he's facing the brunt of the deficit as well then?

Maybe he's looking to encourage a trade deal...by risking the country taking a bullet for Washington.

He's playing a dangerous game with other people's lives here.

If the retaliation from Russia hits British 'assets' in whatever form that takes it'll be down to Starmer and his Red Tory handmaidens.

Ace, as someone much like the masses that holds no assets, I for one salute our red tory overlord for risking the fortunes of his fellow interbred tory scumball.

The sooner this island is sent back to the base of the oceans the better, if that is at the behest of a russian midget or similar from anywhere else, then fine.

We can sing the anthem of galloways social reformist centrist party till our last briney breaths?

"Onward george's soldiers, marching not to war..."

I'm not sure we can lay the deterioration of UK/Russian relations entirely at Starmer's feet, can we?

We will have to wait and see, but I doubt we will see an announcement that the UK are giving long range missiles either. The US seem to be trying to find a way to facilitate it without using 'western' missiles but giving data and intelligence.

I may be wrong, but I suspect they'll agree a stance that looks 'tough' but falls short of giving the capability directly.

Sure we can. If we'd have just given Corbyn enough goes then he'd have got in eventually after enough Tory sleaze. Then we'd be in Russia's political orbit, the same as Hungary.

Russia, Belarus, Hungary, the UK and Trump's US. Dave's new international order wet dream.

It's an interesting thought exercise trying to imagine all the ways in which Corbyn would've twisted himself in knots trying to navigate the complexity of this particular international diplomacy.

Its a good job we have increased our defence budget then isnt it.

You wanted to scrap our nukes.

Their strategy will be to try and force Putin to the negotiation table to wear a truce not on his terms or, for that matter, Ukraine's.

The Atlantacist strategy is that they want this war over.

Handing long range missiles to Ukraine and allowing them to strike at Russia's interior (or even to just give them that 'strategic ambiguity' that they have them and can do that) will, however, unleash a response from Moscow. Not necessarily a military response, but electronic warfare, terrorism in the UK and US and European nations sanctioning this.

Starmer is a willing puppet who'll open that can of worms up on behalf of Washington. He's wedded to the US intelligence community for sure.
